Voluntary Work at HARP
There are a number of ways you can get involved at HARP as a volunteer. We really appreciate the contribution that our volunteers make to the organisation and we do what we can to make your time with us as interesting and creative as possible. We encourage our volunteers to become involved in activities that are going on as well as help them to develop new skills for the future.
YASP
For young people aged 15-25, YASP offers the opportunity to work in the Internet café, learning new skills around cooking and food preparation and skills for employment and to move into education. There are a number of fun activities going on and all this along with a busy lively atmosphere makes for a lot of fun!
HARP Cafe & Good Mood Food
The busy HARP café, based in the Zion Centre, provides opportunities for adults with mental health needs who want to develop their preparation and cooking skills. There is chance for you to move onto the busy outside catering business, Good Mood Food.
Advice Team
Our volunteer casework assistants help in a variety of ways: by taking referrals, seeing clients at our busy drop-ins and assisting the work of our experienced caseworkers. There are plenty of opportunities to attend training courses and also to gain valuable experience in welfare rights.
Administration
Admin support is a much needed resource that volunteers are able to provide us with. Your role would involve a great range of activities and you would be part of a hard working but fun team!
Management Committee
We currently have a well-balanced, experienced team of trustees, but there is always room for more! If you would like to contribute to the management and development of our organisation why not become of our trustees?
If you would like to talk about becoming a volunteer at HARP or have any questions please contact us.
