The Inspire project aims to redevelop Levenshulme United Reformed Church into a vibrant multi-purpose community centre. You may recently have received a paper or e-mail version of the Levenshulme Inspire questionnaire.
If you have completed this then we thank you for your help. If you have not already done so, we have made the questionnaire available on the internet, to make it really easy for you to complete. To complete the online questionnaire, click here.
In addition, there is a second short questionnaire, about the new community cafe that is planned for the Inspire building. Youth agency YASP plan to expand their small but successful internet café, currently located on the opposite side of the road from the church, to a larger, purpose-designed café that will serve the community, building users and be run as a youth training programme. To complete the online questionnaire for YASP, please click here.
Whether or not you have completed the questionnaire, we would be really grateful if you could help us gather information by forwarding this email to people and organisations that you know, who live and/or work in Levenshulme and the surrounding areas.
Thank you very much for your help, from the Levenshulme Inspire group, and YASP Cafe.
Megan Ohri is to fill the new post of DIN Development Worker. Megan, who will be based at the YASP building in Levenshulme, will be working closely with MIND and The Roby in helping to develop the successful Delivering Inclusion Network partnership. We look forward to welcoming her to the team.
DIN aims to demonstrate effective ways of supporting people who are vulnerable to periods of poor mental health. The DIN partners ( YASP, MIND and The Roby ) all have many years of experience in working for mental health and now aim to extend their services to other parts of the city, and to closer collaboration with provision in primary care and local communities.
A warm welcome to the new volunteers Salma, Patricia, Kim and Kristy who will be helping out in the YASP Cafe. We are always looking out for new volunteers to help with the day-to-day running of the cafe, particularly in the kitchen.
We provide ongoing opportunities for young adults to learn new skills, make new friends and build confidence and self-esteem whilst experience of working in a busy cafe environment.
If you would like to volunteer, or if you know of a young person who you think would benefit from the experience, please contact us via our 'Contact Us' page!
