As you probably already know, HARP is a very unique organisation providing advice, support and volunteering opportunities for individuals who are often struggling to cope with the problems life has thrown at them. HARP remains committed to providing the help that many people living with mental health needs require to maintain themselves in the community, and to gain the confidence and independence they need to progress in life. We need your help to do this.

Leaving a legacy is also an amazing way to ensure HARP can continue making an impact on the lives of these people. Remembering HARP in your will is a very effective way to ensure that we can maintain our vital service within Manchester. Any bequest, large or small, will help and can take the form of any type of property, not just money.
If you have not already made a will we would advise that your will is drawn up by a solicitor. This can be done for as little as £40 plus VAT. A will should be a document that is unique to the maker and it is very important that you are properly advised so as to satisfy basic legal requirements.
If you do choose to include HARP in your will, please leave your bequest for the “general purposes of the Party”.
This way it can be used in the best manner possible, as circumstances can and do change.
If you have already made a will and do not wish to make a completely new one, you can simply add a ‘Codicil’. This is a separate legal document altering or supplementing the provisions of your existing will. To do this you can use the form on the two pages opposite, but please do consult your solicitor. The process is remarkably simple, and best of all, a legacy made to a registered charity is free of inheritance tax, so pledging a legacy to HARP would effectively reduce any tax you have to pay!
Making a donation to HARP is also an excellent way of helping ensure the future of our service, meaning much-needed help will be available to those experiencing difficulties in many areas of their lives. Thank you :)
